I have been so impressed with the TFT software that I wanted to write a brief “review” and testimonial for it. What John - with Lance’s superb programming! - has achieved is to distill the most important analytics involved in trading into a concise, precise and carefully structured approach that will reward anyone who applies it in a patient and disciplined manner. I can personally attest that the profound (but visually simple) application of cumulative delta volume is the best I’ve ever seen. Likewise, the visual cue for trend mode changes and the uncannily accurate, automatically drawn support and resistance levels make trade analysis efficient and help stack the probabilities in a trader’s favor. Then there is the best momentum oscillator I have ever come across, complete with built-in chop zones and automated divergence finders. And these are just some of the highlights I’ve found that have been so beneficial to my trading.
The innovative real time analyzer makes it easy to follow up to a dozen instruments at once (with both visual and sound alerts when potential setups arise, and the ability to instantly bring up the relevant chart in detail). And if desired, there are built in ATM templates to manage trades.
If traders apply themselves, they will find TFT to be a robust engine that is capable of producing great success. Notice that I said “if traders apply themselves.” (Btw, there are plenty of videos, etc. for learning in the members’ area of the website, as well as periodic webinars). All the tools for trading success are here, but John does not – and would not – promote this as a holy grail in which you blindly follow each and every potential signal. However, with study and practice, I can unhesitatingly say that this is the best structured approach to trading I have ever seen, and the bottom line is that if mastered you should be able to achieve consistent profits and a steadily rising equity curve with low drawdowns.

Like many other traders I have gone from one trading methodology to another looking for the “answer” to trading riches. Over the years I have tried numerous three day and weekly learn how to trade seminars, through various and expensive software trading solutions, to working with different “trading guru mentors”. All to no avail. That is until I met John Karnas of Trend Following Trades.
Last April Mr. Karnas had one of the best free trading webinars I’ve have ever attended, entitled “Why 95% of All Traders Fail”. In this webinar John said most traders believe that the “holy grail” to profit and success exists outside of themselves, and this is a primary reason they fail. He said the answer really lies entirely within ourselves. This is the key to John’s teaching. To use a metaphor John teaches you how to fish, instead of instead of just delivering the fish. He says trading is not easy, and requires a lot of hard work to be successful.
John has a clearly defined, comprehensive step by step approach to a trader’s education, including writing and refining a trade plan, an extensive set of excellent step by step trade-training videos, as well as, a detailed, trading check list rule set with filters, regarding trade setups, entries, and exits.
One of the most valuable things John taught me was the importance of “back testing”. In all my previous trading education, no one but John, emphasized why repeated back testing, refining, and more back testing of any methodology was a vital key to a trader’s success. Repeatedly marking trade setups following a detailed trade check list and filter set I was able to generate quantifiable trading results which gave me the confidence to take each and every trade that qualified for an entry. I found this to be an invaluable aid in building my confidence in the trade setups.
One of the most exciting aspects of Trend Following Trades is as the name implies, learning how to take trades that are with the trend. No more catch the falling knife of countertrend trading.
I look forward to the opening of the new trade room, as well as, the implementation of the new trading software matrix the TFT AMA which will allow me to look at several markets on one screen, as well as, take trade entries from this same screen. No other trading software that I know of has the ability to interface with NinjaTrader in a separate self-contained windows based platform.
John has been very generous with his time in answering any and all my questions and concerns with my study, implementation, and trading of the TFT methodology.

A common occurrence for the average person who is committed to learning to trade is to buy into the claims and promises made by the seemingly endless supply of trading services, tools, systems and mentors. Like many people, I wanted to believe because I had such an intense desire to succeed.
After spending an insane amount of money and countless hours studying, back-testing and sim mode trading, the thought occurred to me that the game is rigged and all the blood, sweat and tears spent over a 3 year period was a gigantic waste of time and money.
I have come to realize that there are good people out there who are not only capable traders but offer a legitimate opportunity to learn the trading profession. John Karnas of TFT is without question, one of those individuals.

I was lucky to found Mr. Karnas after so many years fighting against the markets and wrong suppliers.
After trading for 5 years, I found the TFT club 6 months ago on the internet. I did so many courses and trading rooms and signal services and studied many books and followed a lot of programs and paid a lot of money for it, that after a couple of years my experience is that I “know” a lot of trading but in the mean time I can say that I know nothing.
The marketing used by 99.99% of suppliers is so strong and promised a so much “better” life that I can really say that the message from all this type of suppliers is not true, and not have stability.
I thought, okay let us try TFT because it looks okay and Mr Karnas promised that a subscription on TFT is the last journey in trading. Honestly, I was overwhelmed after my conversation by email and Skype with Mr Karnas. His knowledge is great, but most important he is 100% honest, and helped me with all issues and questions.
He is a wonderful teacher and never said wrong things from other suppliers. Of course he knows the markets and knows that 99.9 % is not honest or used examples from 1 year ago. Mr Karnas showed real data even if sometimes a trade is wrong.
My experience is that he really wants to help people become better traders and I think he don’t need the money for a subscription because he can live a good life trading for himself. I was lucky to found Mr. Karnas after so many years fighting against the markets and wrong suppliers.
I hope and pray for us, that we will stay in a good health, and can trade under the wings from Mr. Karnas and his TFT team.
